Fundraiser for local school and youth programs - Feb 15th

As many of you know Butte Sailing Club is affiliated with the Forebay Aquatic Center in Oroville. On Sunday February 15th from 4-7pm at The Commons Social Emporium on Park Avenue F.A.C. is holding a fundraiser to support local school and youth programs. There will be fun for the whole family with pizza, games and drink along with music from Chico's own WIFFLEHAMMER (playing from 5-7). This event is free for everyone. A raffle will be held (Butte Sailing Club is donating 2 CARD sailing lessons). For more information you can check out Forebayaquaticcenter.com to get the complete lowdown. Just a heads up that Rich volunteered to head up the Forebay rest stop for the 2026 Wildflower Ride again this year. It will be Sunday April 26. Fortunately we do not have a BSC event scheduled that day. Rich is looking for a couple of volunteers closer to the date to help.

Wet Wednesdays and Super Wet Wednesdays

Wet Wednesday and Super Wet Wednesday club boat and trailer upgrades will continue under Phil and Greg's guidance. When the weather is nice we'll put our tools down and go sail with some unofficial coaching available for our newer sailors, rides for curious visitors and general hi-jinx.

Sailing and Race Series

Wet Wed Racing
Beginning June, thru September, weather and participation dependent. Starts around 4:30.

Vagabonds, O'Days, Buccaneers etc. on 1st Wednesdays.
Lasers and similar boats 3rd Wednesdays.

Membership 2025-26

Membership dues are due at the beginning of the year before you make use of the facilities. If you haven’t paid 2025 dues please get current using the Membership page.
We suggest that prospective members join us Wednesday afternoons between now and January as our guest for sailing and meeting people, and then become members in the 2026 calendar year.
